The Troll's Bounty issue !
So I decided to take a different approach (and even on honour mode) and finish this quest the other way, by not giving him the tenebrium. He didn't give me anything and I kept it (obviously), but now I cannot complete the Naked Truth quest and also can't handle tenebrium weapons ?! Why is that even an option if it impedes the progress of so many things! Is there another way to obtain those things ? Can i find Brandon again ?

Not sure about Brandon but you could just try killing Lawrance and if I remember right can't you find a book in sacred stone called "How to handle tenebrium"

Is killing him going to resolve the quest The Naked Truth, because I think I remember reading somewhere that it doesn't change anything.
You can find a unique book in Sacred Stone, in Attenberah's shop (will trigger her boss battle if you get caught picking it up) that will have the same effect as Brandon's teachings you skipped. You could also simply spend your own ability points in tenebrium, as long as you have 1 point you won't get infected with Rot. Bairdotr has a point in tenebrium from the start.

As for the Naked Truth quest, I'm not sure if it's possible to complete it without Brandon's letter, so you might have accidentally locked yourself out of that one. Killing him won't resolve the quest, I think. And without any proof you won't be able to confront Lawrence.

You should be able to Pickpocket the letter Brandon has. Have one character talk to him so he stops wandering around; then another needs level 1 of Pickpocket, and an invisibility spell, scroll or potion to be able to sneak in such a public area.

Well Brandon left immediately after I said I wasn't going to give him the tenebrium, so pickpocketing him isn't an option. Killing him did finish the quest though, so that's good news: right after I killed him I talked with Nadia and she was happy that he died and sad that she couldn't enact her revenge on him.

I'm also not able to get the Troll's Bounty quest to start at all, I'm not sure if we refused to help Brandon a long time ago or we did something in the wrong order. There used to be a way to fix this by hacking globals.lsb http://larian.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=522173 but it looks like Enhanced Edition doesn't have globals.lsb anymore? Is there another file to hack or way to reenable Brandon giving you Troll's Bounty quest?

Why wouldn't you just give Brandon a single tenebrium? It doesn't matter where you get the tenebrium from (I get it from luc mine and then use the same portal to zip back to town) and you only need to give him a single piece- he takes all that you have in the "blood cage/chest" so just make sure you only have one in there...

Not to mention the fact that +1 Spiritual is better and no matter how many weapons you coat in tenebrium you will still end the game with over 50-100 bars...

Bottom line, just give Brandon the ore!

This is a quest that can actually break 2 quests just by a random chance. What happened to me was that my other character didn't agree with my main character during my talk with Brandon and the minigame rock-paper-scissors started. I lost the argument and so I lost the chance to start the quest. At the same time - you lose the chance to help that woman blacksmith.

This is actually the first kinda-bug i've encountered in my 30+h gametime

If you don't have any potions or spells - do what I just did:

1. take your party members apart
2. have 2 of them talk to the 2 miners by the hut (so they are turned away)
3. have the 3rd talk to Brandon just when he walks behind the 2 static miners infront of the overseer's office so that Brandon's back is turned towards the tavern
4. have your hero with the highest sneaking level sneak behind Brandon and pickpocket JUST the letter. If you try to take the box he will notice you and start a fight

Be careful of the wandering miner. He will break your sneak since he constantly moves around so just wait until he turns his back to you.

Good luck!

I have an issue as well. I gave him a piece of the ore from the mine and he split. I have the book but now the mushrooms are gone and I can't remove the statue in the kings cave. Oh well it appears this quest has too many ways to break it.

Even with the mushrooms gone you can still read the scroll/book in front of the troll king's cave and open it up... Just stand in the middle where the light is hitting and read Maridino's book to open up the cave.

Exactly. You need to read the book infront of the entrance where the circle of shrooms are (or were if you picked them up). You'll see a bright light hit the cave entrance and you can go in afterwards.
