Strange Cat in the Hidden Cellar

Hello everyone,

I don't post often but I just need to know what was the joke or background story that I missed on this one:

Upon completing the story line in the Hidden Cellar (Hunter's Edge), when the staff of Zandalor's house gives you access to the mirror that is there (after providing proof that you know Icara), there is a cat that just appeared out of thin air (with a "poof") when finishing the discussion.

- Who/what is that cat? I talked to her and she asks me if I'm real, she seems completely lost and having no idea what she does here.

I finished the game and never heard from that cat's story again, so what the hell was that about?!

Cat in room was the witch spying on the survivors waiting for you to spill the beans on Zandlor's location I believe; it is somewhat glitched out however as you can kill the cat preemptively and it won't change the outcome of the witch somehow still being able to spy through the now dead cat's eyes. I believe it is possible that the original cat is poofed back into the room after the spy cat (witch) hears what she needs to hear?
