Stuck on pirate pontius(
Hello everybody, my heroes are lvl 6: 1 meele DD with big sword, 2 water-aero mages and 1 archer from cage. I have no idea how can i pass this, I already have tried 10 times, no results, too much enemies, too low damage, i tried to permastun boss, but skeletons have skrolls from it. Should i start game from begginning with anouther classes or what(coz now this meele DD doesn't do anything, don't know how use him)? If yes, which classes shold i choose?

I was level 7 when I did this. I also led him out.. i had my battle ground in the archway at the top of the stairs. I had my shooters back from the bottom of the stairs, used telaport to get key mobs next to Madora. My party was waiting, I walked in with my main, once my turn started i used teleport crystal to get back to my party. Then we just skipped turns until they got bunched up in the archaway and then unloaded.

But you can hit level 7 before this. Dont forget to take out the zombies outside of the north gate for easy xp. Make sure you cleared out all areas west of town. You can easily be 7 when you tackle Pontius.

In my humble opinion, having 2 mages as Air/Water has handicapped your game. The Pyro and Geo skills would certainly help you in this battle, and just about everywhere else!
Personally I would restart, and create a Pyro/Geo Mage to complement Jahan's skills.
For any tough fight, remember to make full use of buffs and potions - don't just go all out offensive.
And don't forget grenades - my 2h Fighter has a handy supply of those to soften the enemies up before he goes in and bashes the hell out of them.
Finally, positioning can make or break a fight - for this one I also used the arch to bottle neck the enemies. And use "examine" to see what you're up against and what the enemies weaknesses are.

P.S. Restarting isn't all that bad - I restarted after making level 11, and discovered all sorts of bits and pieces I'd missed first time around as I wasn't in such a rush this time.

Ok, it will be pyro/earth + Jahan, what about anouther heroes? I don't know, maybe i should try tank + wolfram, or try to go 3 range heroes + tank?

I telelport him to the upper right corner near the stack of barrels and then detonate them. It takes out a big chunk of his health. And it makes a big area of burning ground and smoke that prevents the other mobs from ganking on you right away.

I agree with Imma-Bella. If you have no fire at all, you are really crippled. And by fire, I mean fire and oil. All your mages should get the novice skills from all 4 elemental schools as soon as possible. Definitely Blitz Bolt for stun. Rain to make them more electocutable. Oil to slow them down and get them ready to burn with Fire. With most enemies, getting them burning is half the battle to getting them dying.

firestorm grenade has larger AoE than fireball and only uses 3AP... It is the best fire-starter in game

Charm arrows/ grenades are your friends. I did this fight @ lvl 5
well its really easy, use your range attack and ctrl attack all the harmful barrel on the upper right of the boss, let your mage teleport a character to the xbow, first turn using the xbow should kill everything on the oil, poison area created from barrels earlier, enemies in the smoke should not be able to attack you because of the blind effect from the cloud, focus fire or your attack on pontus and he should go down in 1,5 turn, try finding a blunt weapon is also a good idea.

Try to learn the witch talent which reduce bodybuilding or willpower, it made the disable spells easier to get the effect in, or charmed arrow/ grenades all his minions, but if you are playing on normal, this should not be neccessary, if you are playing on tactician and it's your first time, you will get lots more difficulties with later bosses, abuse the quick save quick load mid battle if you want to get better RNG is also a good idea if you find it still difficult
