Rubys are pretty rare so only use them on something thats a keeper near end game imo.
Rings, belts etc can be made that have + various stats
Also essences can be added to weapons to add that effect to the weapon.
i been selling all my jewles... FCK and making skill books of essence FKC!
Any way to farm/ make essence?
Easiest is visiting the crafting vendors every once in a while and buying essences from them.
I think the elemental vendors also sell essences of their particular element.
And is it possible to get more powerfull enhantments? like fire essence + armor peice is like 6-8% but i have seen loot that give WAY more.
The amount of resistence added depends on the item level. Max is +21% for a level 20 item.
Buy them back from the vendors, they keep everything you have sold them :)
There will be an area that has alot of essence drops, also check every main vendor you can find. Their inventorys refres every hour/level.
So what and how can i add to jewellery?

Only same element essences override each other. Four different elemental essences give four different resistances (on armour, gloves, sarongs and all belts other than crafted). Such bad info in this thread. OP, use your rubys early - res is hard to get on armour early on, wheras later both res and essences are quite abundant.
