There are many small changes to the quests as well as some new stuff and a lot of the lore is more fleshed out. The ending is completely redone.
It is certainly well worth playing through again.
Is it redone for the better? Again, please no spoilers. I haven't seen what happens after the final fight, I only remember fighting the blue crystal void fanatic enemy boss, the green lady that was special somehow and I don't recall what else in a weird "end of reality" place.
It also icreases the durability of some robes, bracers, boots and the like. e.g. from 20/20 to 30/30 for the starter robe. I gues, that makes the stuff a bit more valuable = the 5% you mentioned.
I'm not sure, if this wotks only with starter stuff or later, with higher tier items, too.
The ending has more to it. It's not as much of an all of a sudden you are done once you go through the portal, that can only be opened after getting all the starstones. There's more to it in that end area. It's meant to give more of a complete ending to the story and not seem as rushed.
That sounds nice then. Not a different ending but a more polished one.
It did feel kind of "pushed into it".
