Report a translation problem
As Raze said above, there is a statue on (or better half inside) the wall next to where the earth statue is or was (if destroyed).
Talk to it (right-click), give the correct answer to its question for the name of Boreas earthen brother (Lurrean) and the barrier will disappear.
As also said above, one can throw one pyramid behind the barrier and teleport there with the other. No removed barrier necessary in this case.
The treasure room is only really important for the Wishing Well quest, for the winter amulet (or ring? don't remember) and some chests with possibly usable gear, but not for the main quest.
The door without barrier ('second exit') leads to the cave where you entered Hiberheim and also to another treasure room which is also unimportant for the main quest.
