Only 1 Room In Homestead? (Spoilers)
I played Divinity earlier in the year but stopped after about 20 hours so I decided to start an entirely new game and on this play through I'm a little bit farther than my first game with my characters at level 9 (they were 7 or 8 on my original play through) but so far only one room in Homestead is opened. On my first game I had unlocked the Great Hall and a bedroom but I have yet to unlock any rooms beside the Great Hall. Anyone know if this is a bug? I can't figure out why no rooms are unlocking. I even got a blood stone prom the pirate boss but I don't know how to use it to unlock room.

You unlock new rooms by activating Blood Stones ( for the Pontius pirate blood stone just use it from inside your inventory ).In Cyseal there are two blood stones you can unlock upon approaching: one is in Theryon's backroom after Evelyn asked you which person should you choose to live, and the other is inside King Crab Inn in the room where the murder happened.

I did the Hospital thing right away and was taken to Homestead and then went to the crime scene later on and have since cleared the wife, killed Evelyn, talked to Zombie Jake, cleared the top floor of the church, beat the Pirate and a few more side quests and only one room has unlocked. It's like nothing triggered when I went to the crime scene.

Did you speak to Zikzak/Lady of time after unlocking each room, as well as reading the letters inside rooms?

I have only unlocked the Banquet Hall. I read both diaries and spoke to both the Weaver and Zixzax and completely exhausted all dialog choices and only one room has unlocked despite bieng nearly 40 hours into my game.

*edit*
Okay, used the blood stone I found on the pirate and the Imp jumped off his chair to unlock the inner chamber.

*edit 2*
I think my confusion is that I thought opening Homestead AND the Banquet Hall was one stone and opening the Inner Chamber was a second stone. Now It seems like the main hall and the banquet hall are 2 seperate stones and the bedroom is a third stone. Unless I'm mistaken about that.

Bedroom is from third stone, yes. The fourth stone will unlock the first elemental door.

No, you're right about it.

First stone opens the homestead, second opens the Hall of Heroes. Third opens the private chambers. ...

It is important to always leave an unlocked room by its gate when it is first unlocked and not by Rift Travel. Otherwise, it can happen that Zixzax does not reset for following blood/star stones.

If that happens you will find him waiting at the last portal and he will reset when you talk to him.
