Luculla Mines Death Knights
I have seen lots on-line about how hard it is to avoid these characters as they are invincible. I have Jahan in my party but in spite of using invisibility or taking an invisibility potion they have an ability to see him. I have read somewhere that a rogue with the 'Hide in Shadows' skill works well. My main character is a level 14 with Pyro and Geo skills. I have 2 points in Stealth as well and 1 point now in rogue. Will the hide in shadows skill (if I can find the skill book) work enough for me to pass them? I dont have a full rogue in my party.

Hide in the shadow is better taken at character creation.
One NPC in silverglen, at the inn, sells the book. The best way to avoid the Knight is using that skill.
There is an invisibility as adept aero, but last 2 rounds only.

If you take your time and learn their patrol patterns you can get past them with just sneaking even if you have 0 invested in the skill. No need to cast anything.

Just send 1 character. No need for anyone else. When you get to the end everyone else will auto-teleport there.

Thanks for the help. I think there is also an NPC in the caves under the graveyard who is a rogue and can join the party as well. I might try to find him. I have tried to avoid the nights with sneaking but they always seem to see me at whatever distance.

With the character that has 1 point in rogue, you can learn hide in the shadows, it is a novice skill.

First : Invisibility potions work 100%. Only when they expire the death knights will see you. While invisible you can literally run through them

Second: Walk in the shadows is the preferred way (it lasts longer). BUT watch for the symbol next to your character apllying it - it sometimes fails without any good reason (and contrary to the tooltip). So don´t cast and run blindly before checking it´s applied.

If you give the character using it some additional invis potions, the shadowwalker can even explore the whole area at leisure - there is QUITE some loot especially in the dead immaculates along the way.

Now let´s assume "Walk in the shadows expires and you get spotted?

No problem, take an invis potion immediately and flee by feet. You are invisible the moment you take the potion even if 10 cm away from a death knight (tested). This is really a fun part once you get accustomed to how far you can go with "Walk in shadows" and how many actions you can perform along the path.

Note that there are areas inside the death knight patrol area which are completely safe - no death knight will ever go there. Scout!

Thorsten

game shows vision cones which should help when estimating where they see and cant see you. sneaking through mine was one of highlights for me (finally some mechanics that makes sneaking useful).

Update - I put one point into scoundrel for my mage character at the level up stage. I then bought Walk in Shadows and winged feet from the vendor in the upper room at the Inn in Cyseal. Using both enabled me to sneak past without being seen to the chasm portal and then back again to my party. Then used waypoint for the entire party to travel there. Thanks for all the help.:steamhappy:
