How to efficiently kill that Guardian in Hiberheim ?
Explorer mode, classic's too hard for me :(

Here's the thing, I completed Immaculates related quest first before I explore Hiberheim.

And I encountered this giant tank, my party's LV13, struggled a long time to kill him, each turn dealt 13-20 damage and everyone's slipping on the ground here and there quite funny.

After spent like 20 minutes to kill him, I stepped on some traps after walking up the stairs, and my whole party died :bbtcat:...

I cried finding out my save file's back at that immaculates church.:meatytears:

Well I can redo all other stuff quickly but I don't really want to fight him 20 minutes again, he seems to be immune to air? and other elements are not too effective as well :(

is there any trick or am I missing something?:rage:

Easiest way is to kill the immaculate party with the shambling oak in it and have Bairdotr pick up the wand that the immaculate drops. She can then one sho the guardian with it. Only
Bairdotr can use it safely since she comes with one point in Tenebrium unless you did the mines and got the skill for the rest of your party first.

Have your crafter combine Nine Inch Nails with whatever boots you have equiped and it will add the property "Immune to Slippery Surfaces" to the boots.

The Guardian's lowest resist is fire. Make sure everyone is using a weapon, or spell with fire damage.

On hard difficulty, 14 barrels of oil and poison detonated all at once next to him took out 70% of his health. Less than that should kill him on explorer difficulty.

And the wand mentioned above will infect you with rot if you don't have anyone with the Tenebrium skill to wield it. If on the other hand you have a blood stone that you have not used, go ahead and catch rot then cure it with the blood stone.

Thank you a lot :)

Since I don't have high level fire weapons for everyone, I just spent another 20 minutes to beat him anyway ;/

I didn't craft the boots, found some snowboots at abandoned camps:squirtyay:

Oh I never realize he can use it without rot penalty ?!

Yu get rot if you do not have the Tenebrium skill and you handle weapons, shields or ore with Tenebrium. Bairdotr has one point in that skill when you pick her up in Cyseal so she is always my designated handler.

On my last playthrough I equipped the wand from the blood stone cage without getting Rot ... before having the ability and with no Bairdotr in the party.

I think that equipping items from a container - and maybe even moving them out of a container to normal inventory manually - does not create the ItemTemplateAddedToCharacter event that the Rot handler needs to execute. I'd always save though before I would try it.

You need either Bairdotr, the Tenebrium ability or you have the blood stone cage ... or you cure Rot with a blood stone. (You can carry the wand around forever after the cure, because if it is not moved around, no event is ever generated for it.)

You can lure him into laval pool that deals 20k damage right upstairs

yes but you can craft your boots you have currently with big nails .. so you dont lose the other effects/bonuses.
you can unchain 1 guy and hide with him somewhere behind the guardian and after the fight starts you can kill those statues wich will lower the resistens of him.
you can use scrolls to fight him also granataes.. you can also while you talk to him put some granates near him at the ground with another char.. and when fight starts blow them up.

I picked up this game recently. Somehow, my first experience (years ago) didn't click with me. DOS is all about thinking outside of the box, which makes it challenging, albeit, very very enjoyable.

What's right behind the guardian? A fire trap.

Just send your rogue, with invisibility behind the trap and lock the Guardian towards it. Normally, it should kill itself by walking on the trap.

There you go.
