I don't think this game feels old at all. I played it through a few months ago and I loved it. Apparently it has worse graphics than DOS 2, but to me it still looks beautiful.
I think you would enjoy this game too. It's excellent. But I've read a lot of posts on this board, and also the DOS 2 board, that say they are different games with different rules. So you will have to re-learn how things work in this game, and not expect them to work the same as they do in DOS 2.
I never played DOS 2 so I don't know exactly what all the differences are, but apparently the armor system in DOS 2 is a huge change from this game.
I've also seen many people say that they prefer the combat systems of this game and they felt that DOS 2 ruined those systems by revamping them into something different.
The two games can be the normal edition and the enhanced edition of the game.
