about the quest "Slaves and Master"
I feel like this is the second bugged quest i've gone through.

sequence of events:
1. talked to fredrick
2. go to secret cave? more like secret dungeon.
3. talk to imp, tell him to hide
4. find courage potion recipe
5. make courage potion, but talking to imp dont work no more
6. find blood stone and give to fredrick
7. go back to cave and find fredrick dead in front of imp
8.quest log shows the quest incomplete...

i know i should've chosen the dialog for imp to go to fredrick, then hide, then give potion, then all happy.. but obviously the quest design is not perfect and conclusive enough. unless there was any other way.

If I remember correctly, this quest is partially bugged, requiring to leave the cave and re-enter - without talking to Frederick outside. Then, dialog with the imp should be possible.

It's been a couple of years since I last played the game, so I might not remember correctly ....

Omg I had to follow the Wiki close for this and two others that run concurrent with it
Otherwise you have to backtrack
Fredrick dies if you take too long - I did it right away so it resolved, however the quest should have completed with you with the Imp saying something and the quest completing, so yes you found a bug it seems
I had to use the teleporter pyramids to hold off the fight with Maradino, especially if you're on Tactician that fight takes a while, and I think the clock continues to tick during battle. Not sure how time works in this game, there's no set day or night
This game was pretty much not completed - it feels like 90 percent

Wiki says the same. I didn't even know you could fix the dialog...

My fix was to craft the potion before talking to the imp the first time.

He doesn't. The quest isn't timed.

the first bug is obviously the famous teleport pyramid bug, if you somehow didnt pick up the blue one quickly after teleportation, in my case went out the room and then came back after a few minutes to do so, it is never going to be shown as completed... although it is usually easy to pick it up straight away...but sometimes the real world interrupts and you're f**ked.

Someone put bad info on the wiki then
Retrieve the Blood Stone Shard as described in The Troll's Bounty and head towards Frederick. Frederick can die if you wait too long.

The wiki claims that a timer is activated when the Blood Stone in Maradino's study is picked up; this I can't confirm nor deny. I've never had Frederick die due to taking too long. Considering the wiki doesn't explain what happens if Frederick dies due to waiting too long (I mean, if it's really timed, then it should have its own quest log when it happens) nor the specific amount of time you have to bring the stone to Frederick, I'm kinda doubtful of the claim.

On a side note, Frederick can die if you have a Blood Stone in your bag and talk to him but don't go through with the dialog where you decide whether to give or keep the stone... or something along those lines. Never experienced it myself, only happened to read that something like this can happen.

I had the two - still haven't used them in fact from Loic's basement. Do they revive dead chars in combat?

Think I got a bug as well, killed the rat king, and Wolgraff had the scene like I killed an innocent person
Literally the "person" you just killed
come on

Orc lives matter, or probably because you killed him before the orc war. unless you trigger a scripted battle, attacking and engaging seems to be rather unplanned to some of the automatic dialog.
