Star stones...how to find all the starstones.
I spent hours searching for my soluition and was going back and forth through all locations I alread thoughly cleared all for the sake of opening a door in Source Temple. No guiides, no answers.
I think there are some ppl and I think alot going through same period of time. I hope my topic will be on top so u will get your answer.
BEFORE LOOKING AT THE LOCATIONS READ THIS
!!!USE BLOODSTONES in YOUR INVENTORY!!!
my main problem was that I forgot to look in the inventory I already serched for all possible locations when I was completing all the quests. Look for bloodstones in your inventory I had 3 or 4 (sorry was laughing too hard to remember) in my inventory which u have to use to actually make them matter - go to End of Time after that to open all the rooms u forgot to open

info from divinity wiki

Stone 1 (Star or Blood)
A star stone is dropped by Evelyn in Theyron's Healing House when you make a choice to save either Boris or Steven. Alternatively, you can steal the blood stone directly from Evelyn by pickpocketing her.

Stone 2 (Star)
Found at the scene of Councillor Jake's murder at the King Crab Inn in Cyseal.

Stone 3 (Star)
Found by the Waypoint Portal near the bridge that links Cyseal and Luculla Forest.

Stone 4 (Blood)
Found in Pontius' Chest on his Ship

Stone 5 (Star)
Found in Bracus Rex's personal belongings chest in the northeast corner of the same room where you battle him. Cannot be opened without the correct key.

Stone 6 (Star)
Found during the Immaculate Trial in the last area of the dungeon after completing the final puzzle.

Stone 7 (Blood)
Found in the hidden room at the end of Maradino’s Lab.

Stone 8 (Star or Blood)
Found at the beginning of the quest involving Mangoth. The type of stone depends on your choices during dialogue with Mangoth.

Stone 9 (Blood)
Found when you destroy the totem in the Goblin Village.

Stone 10 & 11 (Blood)
Both are hidden in the cellar of the Immaculate church in Silverglen (accessible after meeting Loic at the end of the Immaculate trial).

Stone 12 (Star)
Found in Boreas' treasure vault.

Stone 13 (Blood)
Found when you destroy the talking Iron Maiden in the Hiberheim prison.

Stone 14 (Star)
Found when you open the sarcophagus in the Knight's Tomb.

Stone 15 (Star)
Buried in the Source Temple near the broken Teleport Mirror you encounter shortly after entering.

Stone 16 (Blood)
Found in the Temple of the Dead above Cassandra's true corpse in the eye of the stone titan head.

Stone 17 (Star)
The amulet that Zandalor wears around his neck contains a star stone. Once you get close enough to him in the Source Temple it will activate.

I came here to post this! I was stuck at the Source Temple door and spent hours double-checking that I'd found all the blood stones, and the door STILL wouldn't open. I had no idea you have to USE the bloody things!

It seems you need to keep the stones on you as well.
i.e. not sell them to a vendor because you don't think you need it anymore. :-)

I wasn't getting the last thread of the tapestry, until I found an inert stone I had sold, picked it up, when back to the 'end of time' and it finishes.

Thank you! Saved my game - phew! All I had to do was use the bloodstones & that was it. Oof, on to the end (then pick back up with 2 & then on to BG3 - love Larian).

I just want to add here that if you colected all possible star/blood stones and still nothing happens in the end of times, look for zixzax and talk to him, maybe some portals already opend and you just need to enter ( i was used to being greated when i entered in the end of times when i made progress to the tapestry and the portals, so it took some time for me to look around the place and see one portal already open and after that i spoke with zixzax and THEN a piece of the tapestry was fixed)

If that is indeed the case… how do I find the bloody stones I already sold ages ago? Just backtracking and talking to every single NPC you can trade with?

I don't think you can sell Blood Stones? Not entirely sure but I'd assume that isn't possible.

You don't need to keep the inert stones, this I'm 100% sure of. The poster you replied to procced some other way to progress with the tapestry and just thought it was because of the inert stone. It wasn't.
