NO rooms have unlocked back at Homestead
I'm not far from beating the game (I believe, it's my first ever playthrough) but no rooms other than the Hall of Heroes have unlocked back at Homestead. My whole party is level 20, I've used at the very least 8 Starstones, and more than 2 Bloodstones. I've unlocked Tenebrium handling, learned to beat Death Knights, reached the 3-way-path at the north of Luculla Forest, (but can't find a way to destroy that Bloodstone without "cheating" by using invisibility and running past the invulnerable demons).
I've managed to reach the Source Temple, but can't enter it due to "needing to remember more about my past". One of my Source Hunters says perhaps asking the Teller of Secrets should reveal the location of more Startones, but her room hasn't yet unlocked.
From what I've gathered, using Blood and Starstones should've unlocked more rooms, at least until the attack on The End of Time, but it seems I've missed this window and now, with The End of Time under attack, no more rooms can be unlocked until I've solved that quest.
Don't really know how I should beat it either, and I've already exhausted every dialogue option multiple times.
What should I do? Have I accidentally screwed myself? Is there a way to fix this without restarting or loading an old save?

On a similar note, earlier on, I'd somehow missed one of Evelyn's items back at her place, key for progression, but had somehow managed to progress past that anyways. At level 14 or so I hit a wall, went back, and plowed through level 8-ish enemies once I found said item.

That is not cheating but one of the three intended ways to reach the blood stone.
(Not too many people usually think about taking that way, not many people do the lava way, most just fight their way to the stone - the left path.)

In any case, progress in the game is halted until the attack on the homestead is stopped, it does not matter how the stone is reached for destruction. There are three ways, as ZixZax stated when he bestowed that quest. What you called 'cheating' is one of them.

Once the stone is destroyed, one must return to the homestead and the unlocking marathon starts. (if only the Hall of heroes has been unlocked but a lot more stones used since then, it will be a marathon.)
Remember to visit every room and at least trigger some auto-conversation inside, and then leave the room through the room portal again, because leaving with the waypoint teleport instead of through the room portal might trigger another halt. (which is a bug or at least a developer oversight).

Best you visit the room and run through all of it, speak with the potential npcs inside, and leave through the portal afterwards. (This should automatically fire the 'has been visited' trigger.)
After leaving the room, ZixZax will either directly start conversation with you again and run off to the next room to open, or he runs off without conversation.

There will be quite a few cutscene videos, which is the 'history'.

Addendum: There are also a few quest markers that have either bugged out, or that remain active for something I can't yet do. i.e; Captain Aureus and Time Weaver (though I have no unused dialogue options for either one), The buried orc, the road to Luculla Forest back at Cyseal's region, the Mirror back at Luculla which is used to escpae the Mines (and if I return to that section after the lava has overflowed, there's nothing new I can do)

Umm , really not sure but i think you need to get blood/star stones that are available as you adventure.
I think that is what unlocks the different portals.
I think you missed some...

Have fun :)

You just answered yourself. Go solve that quest.

Those demons are permanently invulnerable, you have no way of removing it from them; thus sneaking by with invis isn't really cheating, just an option available.
