Report a translation problem
I just can't stand the bland main character and wanted the thoughtout companions.
Besides that, you can complete Jahan's and Wolfgraff's quests and hear their whole backstories without ever taking them outside of the Homestead. That's what I did and it was great, because I didn't like them anyway. This is actually a vast improvement over DOS 2, which always arbitrarily murders all the companions you don't take, for no good reason, and thus prevents you from completing their quests and hearing their backstories.
