used ranger w crossbow. 6 str, (just because I wanted to use orc armor helm), but I think even 5 str is just fine, I had 20dex (and +9dex was from gear), 5 int, 5 con, 13spd (+4 gear), 13per (+2 gear)
skills I max crossbow, I took 1 geo and 1 hydro, just for regen healing and spider summon, max marksman, I had 4 scoundrel but I think even 3 would been just fine, maxed lucky charm, rest into bodybuilding and willpower.
Other char I just used caster to support, I took 7spd, few points str for shied and rest on +int
skills I took Witchcraft 5, Hydro 4, Aero 3, Geo 2, Pyro 1. , then I took leader, so that he will provide leader aura +6 to ranger, some crafting skills, and rest on +wand
Most important is that you just use summons a lot they will be tanking and try not to get your chars cc'd.
Why crossbow and not regular bow? I read, that you use most of the time the auto attack, instead of skills with it, is that right? The accuracy in the beginning is really abyssmal.
So, in my past run, i mostly used midnight oil + flash to ignite enemies. Is there a better strategy?
At the beginning you do most of your dmg with Splintered Arrow, which is pretty much best skill you have, You just need to aim it on one mob only, if you hit it to everything it divides the dmg and doesn't do much, but it's really good to take out 1 by 1 fast. Other than that you can use Ricochet if enemies are standing close to each other. Later Barrage, and master skills arrow spray + rain of arrows. You can do normal atks that can crit while skills are on cooldown, but even if you don't get any crit, I don't think it's going to matter much.
Setting enemies in fire isn't really that good strategy imo. better just CC them, you want to use skills like charm, stuns, freeze, ice wall can also work really really well if you know how to place it.
Agreed. For classic runs, it's fine, as it can kill quickly, but for tactician, it's less effective. Strategy: CC to even the lack of turns.
Yes gold earning is mostly earned through crafting. You don't need companions to do this. Just learn the crafting yourself.
For the ranger, I focus on dex obvs but also get INT to 8-10 (odd point into spd if you like). You can max bow/crossbow & marksmen to 5. Then aero and hydro to 4. Pyro and geo one each. With decent intelligence, this character has tons of flexibility.
For crafting, you should have enough extra points to get level 2 in crafting. Add one for belt and one on bracers and one for pragmatic, and you have the 5 needed to craft the robes to sell. So you should have no gold issues.
Ok, but you need a higher level for that crafting, to be worth it or? That pixie dust costs ~220 and with my level 3, the robe is only worth about 175 with barter 1.
Level 12 and 15 are the requirements for master skills, I believe. Some adept skills require level 6, some level 9.
I tried to farm some legendaries, it tells me, that when you trade with let's say Loic and he has not the legendary what you want, you just have to reload and try again. But that does not work it seems, he has always the same items.
You can always find good bow legendary, it's called heartseeker. Once you go through the portal under the Silverglen Chapel, It's on the side of that mountain hanging over statue, you just destroy the statue and it falls down. [/quote]
Wow
I have played this passed Silverglen at least 6 times and never found this. Just loaded up my most recent game to grab it. Thank you!
