Do i need Tenebrium weapons?
I'm level 15 and ZixZix showed up when i was travelling to Hunter Edge village. He said Teberium can hurt those Void demons. What should i do?

Get atleast 1. It has good damage ajd you can get the spell book to safely use it without the quest for a single character. Remember, without the skill its toxic.

But remember to remove it before the final boss battle.

You need Tenebrium skill. Its a weapon skill. If you dont have it, Tenebrium will cause a character carrying it to suffer damage. And its a permanent effect.

You will get a Tenebrium skill point at some point in the game when you're doing some questing around Silverglen / Secret city area. And if you're using side-kicks, Bairdotr already has a point in Tenebrium skill.....

However, to enhance weapons with Tenebrium, your crafting skill needs to be at least 3, ànd your Tenebrium skill needs to be 3 as well.
Good thing is, even with Tenebrium skill at 1, your characters can use it.

Another thing that's important, is that the weapons don't have another elemental effect. This means that staves and wands are unable to be enhanced, leaving bows, blunt and cutting weapons to do so.

You will be able to find some Tenebrium bars in that secret city or in the mines beyond Silverglen.
You will need a pretty high BS skill to melt the ores into bars and with those you find you're able to enchance several weapons.
Later in game you're able to harvest more bars using another option, but I won't spoil your fun. ;)

Tenebrium skill is really misleading

It does two things

1: Allows you to reach equip requirements for looted and store bought tenebrium

2: Allows you to craft tenebrium bars onto weapons yourself

A charather with tenebrium skill crafts in the normal craft menu by mixing it with regular weapons and doesn't need ANY blacksmith or crafting at all.

As far as I can tell ALL "crafted" tenebrium weapons have no actual Requirement for equiping, so you can get away with only training the skill it on one charather and then passing the weapons to everyone else. Like with other weapon types, A crafted weapon will pretty much always have higher damage.

I don't know the exact requirements but I know at the least that Level 15-16 weapons need 3 tenebrium skill to craft. I assume that higher level weapons need 4 and 5 skill.

I only used Tenebrium in my playthrough for like 2 levels right after getting it.

Benefit -

The bonus base damage of Tenebrium is signifigantly higher than crafting air/fire essence onto them. Personally the loss of a 10% status effect isn't really a big deal. either...

Cons -

You really don't need the extra damage endgame - a melee or archer does plenty of physical
damage already, and ALL added effects (other than speed / tormented soul) are pretty much irrelevant.

Tenebrium healing the final boss applies mostly to Swords/Axes/Dagger - with bows, using skills or special arrows converts ALL of the damage to piercing (or the special arrow type) so technically archers don't ever need to have a "back up" weapon. ( Crippling Blow on physical charathers also won't heal it, but they probbably intend to kill it with one big Flurry, which would heal it a little, although it would still do more damage than it healed)

Personally, I think it's fun to mess with Tenebrium when you first get it, but when the level needed to craft goes above 3 tenebrium skill, I simply never bother to put more points in.

Tenebrium can also be crafted onto Armor, Tenebrium resistance only seriously matters for (Hunter Edge fights, and the the three final bosses) - in Hunter's Edge though, the main damage is physical, and they just do a little bonus tenebrium, and of the three final bosses, only the second one's minions do a ton of tenebrium daamge ... the first final boss and the third final boss, for some reason, use mostly normal elemental spells (especially air). So I ended the game with tons of unused tenebrium Ore.

The lore is obviously wrong about Tenebrium being the ultimate damage type when that clearly belongs to crushing

Two uses:
1) 1 tenebrium weapon is mandatory for a mainstream quest
2) use a blacksmith 5 member to first add tenebrium bar to weapon and then turn to another elemental attack type with orb. This will get you the highest elemental damage you can have on a weapon.

The weapons used by npcs have little to do with the drop tables attached to the npc.
Pickpocketing uses the drop tables ...
