It gets healed by elemental damage, though poison still works. Physical damage weapons and summons do good damage on it. Right click and if you have high perception enough you should see the resistances. If resist is above 100%, it will get healed from that type of damage.

there is a very cheesy way to deal with him and his minions, from afar. I will let dragon tell you more about it.

Right click on the mob and use inspect.

It shows you the resistances if your loremaster is high enough.
That guy has high resistances but not as high as well guardian.

Boreas has 150% fire, water and resistances and 200% water resistance which means that attacking with these elements will heal him.

Each of these resistances can be reduced by 100% each but I'll leave the spoiler for someone else ;-)

After reduction, he will take fire, lightning and earth damage and neither heal nor take damage from water spells/attacks.

He takes physical damage from the start. (He also has no shadow resistance but usually nobody has tenebrium weapons in Hiberheim.)

He also has very high willpower and bodybuilding, so he will resist most status applying spells.

OP, I had the same problem as you with Boreas when I played this game on Tactician mode. So I ended up solving the problem by Fleeing the battle and then leaving him alone, then I came back to him at around level 14 (IIRC). Then he became incredibly easy to beat.

You can also loot everything in his treasure room while he's still alive.

So that's always one option: simply avoid Boreas, take all of Boreas' treasures while he's still alive, then go do the other stuff in the game world, level up a ton, and then come back to Boreas much later. The difference in difficulty (meaning how much easier Boreas will become) will be night and day.

For Braccus Rex there is, but I don't think there is one for Boreas. I specifically asked if there was one when I myself was stuck on Boreas, and no one was able to provide one.

I do have a couple tips that worked for me:

-If you have an archer with you, bring some charm arrows to use the enemy minions against each other. Basically, when they attack each other you focus either attacking King Boreas or healing your allies. When the charm wears off, shoot another one to a different target (preferably a stronger/higher hp so they can soak damage from the other enemies).

-Have a tank soak the damage from King Boreas, and have healing scrolls/resurrection scrolls on everyone. Keep the tank healthy while the others kill the other minions

-Use CC spells on the minions

-Bring summoning scrolls to soak damage/deal damage

-If all fails, try to get a lvl or 2 and bring better equipment

-Try to spread everyone around (enough for healing spells/scrolls to be in range)

I believe I was around lvl 10 on Tactician Mode when I killed him. Had to retry a couple times though. What helped me a lot was using charm arrows and summoning elementals while I was focus down King Boreas.

Hope this helps. :D

As for charm arrows/spells the minions always attac boreas in return healing him and when i try to reduce his stats it ( mostly) fails

Im lvl 11 atm and have madoria and jahan on my team an archer and an cleric as main caharacters

I will try it later out but im pretty bad at tactical gameplay

But thanks for the help guys!
I already did know that if the resistance is above 100% it heals figured it out when i killed the twins

My bad, I misread the question.

kill the statues in his room first.

He's not overly fond of poison...

At least not in Classic. I would assume it's different in Tac and Honor. But if you're just talking Classic, he doesn't do well against poison attacks personally.

You are correct. It's Loremaster. It's said somewhere in a tooltip, as well my party member with higher Perception doesn't see resistances whereas my party member that has lower Perception but a higher Loremaster does see them.

I played with a buddy and beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of him like he was nothing on lvl 12 or 13(?)
How?
- I have built a tank. A tank shielder 1H weapon guy. Use defensive stance and elemental tortois to soak in all the damage and stand in his face.
- Summon minions. Spider in the Geomancer tree is awesome and if you don't have Nick as companion...get it...NOW! (No spoiler, just do your research if you want)
- There are 4 pillars in the room ;)
- He summons always 2 shards with the element which is currently active. Kill the minions first.

As a follow up from my previous post and your response:

I think spamming healing (on Madora while she soaks dmg) and summons would also be a good choice here. And yeah the game doesn't hold your hands after the tutorial. So it's understandable. I had lots of trouble in the early lvls too. Let us know if you need more help
