Can't open Portal To Eden to final boss

I'm at the Portal to Eden. I just finished killing Leandra and decided not to merged souls. I picked up the Leandra's Staff and a Death Knight control Wand. I equiped the Death Knight Control Wand and attacked to Portal. There was a bunch of fireworks, then nothing but a message that said "Invulnerable". I repeated it many times, no changes. I closed the game and retarted it and tried again, no changes. What am I doing wrong?

equip the wand, choose the skill that come with the wand, and click on the portal. Must use that skill.
