I agree though that the most interesting trader gear-wise - by far - is the one in the homestead.
There are also containers that create player-level scaled content when opened.Braccus Rex' personal chest is one of them I think. No need to rush to get any unlock scroll, if it's unlocked after one has the key for it, there will be high level loot in it.
(The downside is that the chest can probably not be picked up but left where it is because I think that picking up a chest into inventory triggers treasure creation ... it needs a combined weight chest + content after all.)
A lot of vases in the homestead also create level-dependent loot ... it's only that their treasure tables are so bad that it's not really worth waiting for levelups ;-)
ah Loic, I see. I also read that Loic becomes better after certain level because that's when he starts selling legendary stuff. And I don't know if it's correct but both Bjorn and that unkind goblin in Silverglen become worse.
I think that Loic only sells what he drops later when he's killed. Since he's not hostile from the beginning, you can trade with him, and trading with him triggers his treasure creation.
I guess that if you trade with him at level 10, he'll drop the stuff you saw in his trading window when you kill him much later.
(If you decide to eradicate the goblin village at some point, you'll get everything you sold to the traders there back when they die ...)
You have to be a pretty high level for Bjorn to become really bad treasure-wise.
I haven't found enough motivation to investige the treasure tables to figure out why that is and if it could be 'fixed'.
There is still the skeleton trader ouside of Hunter's Edge but he disappears after you finish the quest where he's involved (forgot his name).
And of course you already mentioned the Interdimenional Trader at the homestead which has by far the best offer of all traders and the offer stays good even at higher levels.
Trader treasure generation is always dependent on the level of the player that triggers this treasure generation.
I'm not sure though if the level of the trader is taken into account as well, that could be the case and if that was the case, Bjorn could be 'fixed' by simply leveling him up which scripts could do. (Same for all Cyseal traders of course.)
In general it's a bit sad how important traders are for gearing up, due to the extremely underwhelming enemy drops.
(The Epic Encounters mod fixes this to some extent if I remember correctly.)
In the long run I found Hortus (the trader outside of Hunters Edge) to be on par with the interdimensional trader.
What most people should know is that traders in general diminsh in value (and drastically so) if you advance characters beyond level 21 (doable in EE, 22 pretty easily, 23 with a lot of effort and seems to be the maximum). If you do so, you are stuck on level 21 gear for everything that is bought - and the stuff at traders at least appears to actually get worse the higher your level.

Thorsten
