This game is amazing

I'm blown away how good this game is. The battles are long on Tactician but so much fun and rewarding when you figure out the tactics. After finishing Pathfinder Kingmaker I wanted a CRPG with no resting mechanics, no X spells cast per day, no load screens, no spending forever travelling and certainly no kingdom management crap. I tried POE in the past and again recently but I just can't get into that game. This game delivers!

I always start games on the 2nd hardest setting so I immediately selected Tactician and got my ass kicked on the first fight many times over. I had no idea what I was doing so had to watch a few videos to figure out the right skills, attributes and spell selection. Was much easier with a mage and ranger and selecting regen, teleport, summon spider for my mage and midnight oil, flare, summon spider, on my ranger. Later in Cyseal I picked up Madora and Jahan and been having a blast with this team.

I love all the tactics involved and different things you can do with the elements like fire and poison and water and lightening. Throw in some barrels too! Teleporting enemies and your team makes for a lot of battle flexability. Midnight Oil + Flare at chokepoints is incredibly helpful and of course spiders to distract the enemy. It's amazing the variety of things you can do in a fight and just small adjustments can make the difference between a hard battle and an easy one. Having two mages seems a bit OP at times :) I tried that Wolfgraff rogue guy but he isn't nearly as good as another mage.

The only bad thing I can say about the game is the inventory management which is frustrating. Seems a lot easier to have a global inventory for all characters rather than one per each. I'm getting used to it now but still can be frustrating. Other than that though, my god this game is so much fun!

My team is 7th lvl now and trying to figure out best place to go after defeating Evelyn a while back. I fought my way to the abandoned church only to be denied entry :( Did I miss something?

I have to share an amazing tip from someone here
save an unbreakable weapon(preferably with crush damage) to break chest, and do these:
some level 4 or 5 chests near legion camp area, use one character to equip Telekenesis level to at least 2, grab the chests and slowly put them further and further to somewhere with no legion memebers, then bash the chest open without anyone seeing.(Do not teleport the chest! they will attack)

Hold on, when you reach the church you will be asked something and no matter if you reply correctly or not, the door will still open (the difference is that the wrong answer will start a fight).

well developed tk's looters best friend imo. and pickpocketing for looting from people ;)
