When in doubt, it always works to level up more and then come back later (unless you've already killed all the enemies everywhere in the world that you possibly can, up until that point in the game). If you are being downed in the first round, it's probably because your level is too low and/or your gear is too weak. And it also helps to summon lots of creatures of your own (one for ever party member is ideal) to be meat shields for the enemy to target instead of your characters.

Charming arrows are also very good.

This is the mage on the beach right. I am surprised to hear from you that he stuns your party. In my game he goes invisble on round 1 and never casts anything for I think 5 turns when his invisibility ends. Then he comes back and recasts the summons and goes invisible again. It is tough fight though and needs safety approach due to 2 archers and the sand golem. I used Jahan to teleport the golem 2 times followed by slow because I felt the golem is most dangerous, the archers knockdown with fighter. I think this bastard sumooned them a second time and this was long fight. But same strategy. The mage hides sort of, I remember I defeated all his summons and just him left I was throwing bombs around to try to find his hiding spot. He tends to hide in the bushes north. Once I spotted him there cut him to pieces.

1) Don't have your whole party all bunched up together right next to him to start the fight. Instead just use 1 character to start the fight while the rest hang back.

2) When he goes invisible, just throw an AOE fire spell to lay down some burning ground and it will reveal him. A poison cloud also works. Anything to cause AOE damage will cancel his invisibility.

3) For the toughest things he summons, just charm them and let him fight them instead of you.

do not listen to this guy especially his advice number 2 is very improper tactiacally. Conecentrate on the immediate danger - the golem and the rangers. Finish them. When you finish them wait your turn, dont press space or end of turn. Eventually the mage will appear, then your wait turn will finish him off in one turn.

Do not listen to him telling you that you will charm the mage etc. Clearly incompetent player. The mage acts first and casts summons and then disapears. He only appears like 5 turns later. The mage has nasty habbit of casting summon his friends once he appears. Reason is why I said to wait your turn at the end.

You are clueless. Do you realize that Radagoth can summon those golems over and over if you don't kill him quick enough? Ignoring him is stupid.

And those golems are not a danger at all if you charm the big one. The rest will focus on it.

Stop lying to people so cheap like charming the mage etc finishing off him delusions. Them mage dies last you incompetent or what. He always casts invisible on himself and you have more serious dangers to deal with.

Nice reading comprehension fail.

I said charm the strong golem. The golem will then attack Raddagoth if you canceled his invisibility. That is the easiest way to win that fight because nobody will be attacking your characters.

There is no serious danger to deal with if you actually use good tactics in that fight.

Aren't you the person who is crying over how hard inventory managemen is?
Aren't you the one crying over taking 200-300 hours to reach level 14 and has not beat the game yet?

You have no idea what you are talking about.

I keep repeating how bad the inventory system is and how much it puts off players. Been said a lot on this topic already. Like you just learned it poor excuser. Yes I am complaining about this. It is very legit complaint. Cheeses.

You edited your post. I swear you said charm the mage.

Yes I hae 400 hours with many rerolls of course and reached only level 14. Do you want to know why ? Because of the inventory management system. Do you want to know why ? Because I spent 200 hours in inventory sorting/shopping/running around from the market to upper hq then teleport to lower cyseal harbor, then to the beach merchant, then to lucula forestmerchants, click click browse browse.....it takes huge amount of time. Like I clearly said more than the fighting in the game.

Go play DAO and then when you finish it please come back and say "oh I see what you meant". In my opinion you will have quite a blast with it too. And it is quite challenging too on nightmare difficulty. But it never bother you with inventory like this proportions. The game is smooth, rpg combat and story and all. I never felt like quitting the game like I feel with DOS at level 14. I kust cant bear this inventory anymore. Nor the dialogue system. My heroes are complete mess thanks to the trait system, conflictiing each other and conflicting themselfes in contradictions. what the hell you want me explain you more except make a soup for you to eat.

damn fool, people are nowadays playing dao, people from this same community in here. these people wil tell you dos is nothing compared to it. iconic, dao changed the scene much more than you imagine with your limited exposure. legendary, real rpg with races choice, with unique intros, storytelling to best levels, cares for your feelings and makes you LOVE your characters, really be passionate to survive them. dao is often referred in the older community as the modern combat baldurs gate in a certain sense. and dos does come close to it but fails because of not touching with the player. tell me the truth - do you feel your characters in dos close when you play ? When I played DAO I vibed with the grey wardens. Because in DAO I didnt spend time arranging rabbit claws and rabbit teeth. I dealt most with fights and building relationships.
Vile Dog Jun 30, 2018 @ 7:36pm
people back then were fighting about characters like Morrigan and Leliana. Not to mention the combat disputes. Have you heards people fighting here over Madora or Bairdotr ever or for anything important whatsoever. dos is elementary rpg, level 14 is enough for me to tell you that. level 14 out of 20 speaks enough how deep the combat system of this game is really

DAO was so complex that many players had difficulties in dlc Golems of Amgarrak. DAO came with dlc and upgrade skills. Awakening plus 3 dlcs. Can you tell me one dlc for DOS which upgraded anything at all. Except the EE version which downgraded most of them really. Pathetic.

Not to start an argument here but you are giving an opinion and i'd like to give mine, DAO you mean dragon age origins right? If that's the game you are talking about i found that game a very average, wholly forgettable rpg. I mean i remember it being ok, average and nothing particularly bad about it but certainly not in my top 5 or even top 10.
