Well, I wouldn't say it sucks. Diablo-style games and D:OS-style games are apples & oranges.
They are both good, but each offers something different to the other.
it's much more strategy/puzzle game. not hack'n'slash.
I saw a mod on workshop that respawns enemies. Its my 1st time playing and I dont want to use any mod before completing. I cannot say how it will feel.
Unless enemies scale with you you would very quickly become overpowered. Levels in this game matter a lot. Getting 4 levels ahead of enemies would make it trivial. Hell im one level above the enemies and its a breeze.
Interesting related note: there is also an unpatched bug in the game that Larian knows about (even though they won't patch it), in which Maradino's servants infinitely resurrect after you kill them, and therefore unintentionally provide infinite exp and do indeed break the game if the player farms them when this bug happens. But apparently this bug does not happen in everyone's game. They should still patch it anyway though.
they arent going to waste manpower (ie money) on this old finished game. maybe mods can fix it.
