Out of combat healing
Is there an efficient way to do this without casting my healing spells 2 times per party member.

you get a cooking pot, and a campire you make a mobile kitchen.

you get fresh fish, or raw meat or well that, and you can make dinner which gives +1 STR for 3 turns and heals 15% HP. really easy to make, not quite a healing potion but you can buy tons of fish thru cyseal, and consume them for 15% healing each time.

rats generally drop raw meat. theres tons of stuff lying around but you can buy from the various vendors let me check.

You can use more powerful healing spells, if you have them.

If you have Cure Wounds on your Man-At-Arms character(s), that helps speed things up too.

But no, there is no super efficient quick/easy/simple method to heal everyone after combat. The cumbersomeness that you point out of is one of this game's flaws.

Yeah not a good way to do it in the first game sadly. Give your people leach and walk through the blood of you slain enemies and every step will heal you. I always played with the boyfriend and we both just cast our heals. Or stock up on potions of course. Glad they fixed it in OS2 where you can just click the bedroll to heal the entire party.

Just give a companion Hydro 1 and Regeneration and the AI will auto-heal whenever someone is injured out of combat. That's why I have Jahan. I would imagine it's quite tedious if you're going Lone Wolf.

Was about to make a thread just like this... Man, it's kinda painful to heal after every battle and i thought that food was just to brew/mix things and not to consume, it really helps to accelerate the process. Also i have at least 1 heal spell on every character, but still, there could be an idle healing option.

How you do that? My characters doesn't cast spell alone, there's an option that i need to activate?

if you were loning food and beds would probably be a good option.

I went to cyseal and bought 10 fish. hotkeying the dinner option I can easily pop down some food, with no animations so it just heals me 15% and I can get on my way.

I never tried the fishing rods. there are other healing recipes.

Do water bottles get consumed when you drink them? I know you can empty bottles of water in cooking recipes. if not you could easily stack bottles of water to heal filling them at a well, and draining them as you take damage.

Appreciate the tips guys. This makes healing out of combat 10 times better

Fishing rods are junk items with no purpose. Best not to even pick them up. And yes water containers do get consumed along with the water. the only exception is water barrels.

again if you have a bottle of water and some flour, you can use the water to make dough, and the bottle remains.

but I checked, and you apparently drink the water and discard the bottle if you consume the water.

I don't recall ever setting any option to do that. It might only work for fully AI'd characters - Jahan casts Regeneration whenever any character is under full HP. There's a part of the game where the whole party can get a condition which makes them lose 1 hp every round and Jahan constantly cast Regen for about 20 minutes.

it's not about not being able to heal. rather not having convenient way to do so.

Fine what would qualify as such a way in your opinion?

Passive HP restores arent a thing but you can recover in a bed, you can recover with food, you can recover with spells.

instead of having to recast spells etc (no consumables) manually until party's healed one could push single button and've those applied automatically until party's healed. for me it's not important (i was already ok even with that +10% heal skill that fails at low dex :p) but op cares.
