Tenebrium Rot
Ok - some spoilers here so if you haven't completed the Troll King cave or Immaculate Dungeon Trial - better wait for this one...so I thought I went through the whole quest of trials in the Immaculate dungeon to become immune to infection by tenebrium rot? But then - when I killed the Troll King and went to mine some tebebrium... I'm infected all over again. WTH? Is this a bug or am I missing something?

you get immunity to tenebrium from the tenebrium skill which you get from giving at least 10 ore of tenebrium to the smith who gave you the quest.

if you keep the ore, then no. you don't get the skill, enjoy your rot.

the archer gets the skill when she joins so she can mine and use tenebrium naturally.

everyone else gets it from the guy or from the book how to handle tenebrium.

If you don't have the Tenebrium skill yet, you'll get rot when picking up Tenebrium ore or Tenebrium weapons. ... unless you carry the Bloodstone Cage which protects from Rot.

Brandon - the quest giver in Silverglen - is content with a single piece of ore. No need to give him more. However, as far as I remember, he'll take all the Tenebrium ore you carry with you if you have more than one piece of it in your characters' inventories.
So it's advisable to send all but a single piece of the ore to Homestead - or deposit it in some chest/crate/barrel - before talking to Brandon to finish the quest.
... unless you never plan to do anything with the ore (like smelting it to bars to put tenebrium damage on weapons, or simply sell it).

This is what's weird. Two of my characters - Bairdotr and Witika already have the tenebrium skill, but no one else does. I missed Brandon totally until after I had the ore. I didn't even need his special case because I just had Bairdotr pick it up as she was already immune.

Bairdotr starting with Tenebrium is part of her story, that's why she has it.

I do not know Witika, must be one of the Henchmen. I never looked too closely at them.
