This "Tips Guide" is about the best thing I came across, and it helped me through the first time quite ab it: https://kotaku.com/tips-for-playing-divinity-original-sin-1601825219
Here's my own suggestions (take them for what they are worth)
1) Just play and follow your Journal/Log. If you get stuck, Google. This game is very ALT-TAB friendly. I used a browser a lot on my first play-through. Most of the information floating around for the original version is still applicable to the Enhanced Edition.
2) In general: if you encounter enemies above your level, you're in the wrong area and need to go back and finish some quests or explore in a different area. Pretty much everything in the game should be equal to your level when you encounter it. Level of enemies is a great clue that you're in the right (or wrong) area.
If you want to know something specific, about classes, areas, or quests, feel free to ping me or ask.
Thanks man.
