archibald attacks on sight?

so i cross bridge to new territory and right away get attacked by troll. winning fight no problem but devs work extra hard to make me feel sad about it so killing probably wasnt recommended course of action. it even has its own name plus it's supposed to be special smart one among trolls. but why-t-f does it attack then :o since it's area transition entire party must go together so sneaking fails too :/ guess i'llve to try coming from other direction but if he always aggroes i'd rather just collect 20k or so xp for fight right now :P
