insta kill

so i played this game some time ago before enhanced edition i dont remember the difficulty, but now i chose the second from the top. int the first location when i go down to a beach and you see orcs for the first time, both of my characters get killed with one spell. is that normal or what the hell ? :S

Couldn't say, but its certainly possible not to get hit in that fight. Plenty of oil for smoke screen and fire, you should pick some CC for your starting characters. Throw a spider down. Lots of options.

Can you confirm that you are on tactician? There are fights where certain monsters deal a lot of damage. However its not hard to not get hit, so much so that defensive skills, I find to be useless.

I really recommend staying on tactician, try doing the fight a couple times. If you take advantage of the environment, magical synnergies, and freezing/stunning the right targets, it gets really easy.

If you get oneshotted in that fight, you stood too close to an oil barrel and the orc shaman blew it up. Pay attention to details, especially if you die.

15 minutes into the game when you were level 2?

And those orcs are level 6?

WTF do you expect to happen when you don't pay attention to level differences?

I am sure he talks about the first encounter with orcs who are also level 2.
