Enchanting, How?

Ive searched the forums and havent found a generic how to with enchanting? I even went through

But is this seriously it? why does it have to be so convoluted and picky? Am I missing how-to books on all of these?

I want to enchant my boots. Its taken me 4 hours total of randomly trying things over the past week until i finlally gave up and started searching online

This table [www.seth-dehaan.com] is my "guide" of choice, because it has the most important features for finding stuff in tables. That is, text search, categories and sorting.

There are a couple issues here and there, but it has served me well (just finished my 1st playthrough and a couple areas into honour mode). For example, somewhat ironically with regards to OP's desired recipe, typing "boots" will not show Immunity to Falldown enchant, because it uses "shoes" rather than "boots". But it's properly there under "armor enchants" category.

In vanilla D:OS (i.e. unmodded), there is only a single boost recipe for boots: boots + nine inch nails which adds slipping immunity to the boots.
