Report a translation problem
It may be that the range displayed when you first load a game is actually accurate, and changing your attribute score screws it up and displays an incorrect higher range. I tried saving without any gear and loading that save, and the range WAS lower than when I first load a game with all the gear equipped.
I don't think you are understanding what the OP is saying, I have had a similar experience like this with a buddy of mine, we loaded our saved game and he joined me but all of his skills and attributes were reset to default, we had to reload an auto save and then load the most current manual save again in order to get his stats and spells back.
OK, I get the problem. Never experienced it myself so it didn't ring any bells when I read the orignal post.
