This, it's just ranged skill for staff. Staff regular attack is melee and with that skill you can use it to attack at range. Wand does not use it because it is always ranged for regular attack.
Ok I looked all through his skillbook and didn't see staff of Magnus anywhere so apparently it’s gone forever BUT, I did find a staff of the tempest (?) attack and it looks stronger than SoM so I'll just replace it with that.
Kinda crazy that I just it just got lost after all this time, but I’m almost finished so I’ll just make sure and save a lot. I wonder if you drag something like this off the hotbar if it just makes you forget the attack??
I could have just gone back in a save but I set that battle up so perfectly I don’t want to go though it again.
Thanks for the help y’all!!
Staff of the Tempest is Jahan's version of Staff of Magus which every source hunter and companion (except Jahan) gets.
You will never find Staff of Magus in Jahan's spellbook because he never had it and both skills are not attached to any items but are granted at game start.
Shows how much I paid attention to that…lol BUT it's my first play through, Im 130 hours in and just realized I can revive party members AND move them to a different location....lol Yeah...I didn't read any instructions I just jumped right in and started kill'n.
easily one of the best games I have ever played ;-)
PS: I hate the swamp, the flying things that kill with just one attack?? just took out my entire party.
And yes, the swamp thing is annoying. It was different in Classic and better IMO, which is why I reverted it back to the Classic behaviour in my mod ;-)
(But some might like the new version better ...)
Have a ranged character go into sneak mode and wait to the side of its patrol path. When it gets just in range shoot it (or zap it) and it will explode. Its armor is so low that just about any hit will kill it.
If you drag a skill icon, it will remove it from the skillbar (or move it, if you drop it on another slot); it can be added again from the skill window.
If you drag a scroll, potion, etc, it will move the item itself.
The problem is that it is way too easy to remove a skill from the skill bar. I don't remember how often I had the 'icon stuck to the mouse' effect. My memory might serve me badly but I don't remember this behaviour from Classic.
