Cannot get Icara's Blessing (Icara possibly dead?)

My girlfriend and I have reached the point where we need to get into the Wizard's house via the basement.
We've spoken to the family and need Icara's Blessing to get the necessary rune. However Icara is nowhere to be found at the Homestead.

We accidentally triggered the demon attack on the Homestead and the other imp wandering around the (not Zixzax) has taken some damage from the environment. Is it possible that Icara suffered the same fate and actually died? Is there anywhere she should be after freeing her from prison and talking at the Homestead aside from in the fourth chair?
Worried this is a game-breaking bug and we can't continue :(

Divinity's story forks alot, you probably haven't found her yet, you need to find her before she goes to the homestead. Have you done everything in Hiberheim?

Already had the conversation back at Hiberheim with her (cutscene and all). She basically should be sitting on that chair.

Is there a pile of ash by the chair?

You can get into the house through the front door (watch out for traps), by throwing a teleporter pyramid through the barrier (drop one on the ground close to the barrier, and drag and drop past it from there).
