ISSUES WITH SKILLS
Hello,
I just started the game and earned the first "level up" point to assing in skills. I can't stack to the skills I chose from the beginning (I got warrior and I cant assign a second point to Man at Arms), If I try to assign to a different skill, (for example Scoundrel), I cant then select scoundrel spells. They look locked in the skills tab (but it shows Scoundrel level 1).

Same things happens with the Mage, can't stack skills and If I go with different one I can't choose them to add on the skills bar.

How to solve this problem?
Thanks for reply

P.S.: I'm playing on Mac

Abilities in this game cost as many ability points to acquire as the "target" level is. So Man at Arms 2 costs 2 points, and level 4 of it costs 4 points, etc.

Skill level 1 costs 1 skill point... Skill level 2 costs 2 kill points... This goes so on and so forth...
The skills shouldn't be in your skill pool unless you've learned them and you can't learn them without the skill points invested. If you are investing (and then confirming) the skill point in a new speciality during the game... you dont automatically get any of the skills. You'll need the skill book.

Wow, thank you for reply!
Very quick! So If I want my mage to learn a spell from Aerosurge level 1 I need to assign a point to it AND to find a skill book right?

That is correct.
If you want a new skill tree / magic tree you have to invest X skill points and then purchase and use the skill TOME.

Take note of a skill's level and what your current skill level allows (Novice, Adept, Master).

Thank you all, to reply my noob question. It has been long time since I played a true RPG like this where nothing is "ready".
Thank you all again.

Also keep in mind that there are novice, adept, and master tier spells. Their effectiveness also scales with the attribute. Spell books are found randomly at vendors (although each vendor generally specializes in 2 schools) and they can be a pain to collect. They restock everytime you level up afaik.
