Bosses - Easy or Busted
This is something I've starting to notice about the bosses and I'm not sure I like it. Either they seem rather easy to deal with or they seem busted and keep wiping you.

Examples - The Lighthouse boss and that Fire Twins bosses were pretty easy to deal with. Both gave me little to no trouble.

The other undead boss, Sparkmaster and Evelyn just keep wiping me out with very little easy or counter. Evelyn is very annoying as to my understanding I HAVE to go through her. I've tried smoke, posion, I've manage to actually stun her once before battle but she still turns around and cripples my team. Her 1 turn leaves me with half the team dead.

Does this trend continue for most the game? Bosses being little more than a speed bump or tableflipping bull?

I'd say it's more about foreknowledge, your personal preferences in tactics and party composition with a little bit of RNG mixed in. But, yes, it's gonna be like that for the entire game.

As a side note I'm playing Classic diffculty if it helps at all. My team is 1 handed/Shield with Witchcraft support, Mage with Fire/Lightning/Water(Uses wands), along with Bairdotr and Madora

I finally beat Evelyn but I don't feel like I did. Glitched out after tossing an oil barrel or two to start the fight and didn't summon or attack me. I just took blind fire shots at her.

Cyseal arguably has the most difficult encounters in the game. Generally, enemies do not scale at a pace similar to your characters, making the latter-portions of the game much easier.

That being said, if you're having trouble while playing on Classic difficulty, it may be due to build/tactical decisions.

It really depends on the fight and set up. Like the pack of Wolves you can run into gave me no trouble and the fire area was very easy. Outside of the bosses the hardest fight was vs 6-7 enemys on that cliff near a chest.

I'd say my tactics work but that is usually "Take advantage of oil and poison and blow them up, Bull rush anything still standing"

For Evelyn try sneaking your team to the top of the stairs looking down on her. Unchain them and spread them out a little. Have Bairdotr or you dual wield mage hit her with fire then use rain to weaken the minions she summons. Being wet it is easier to stun her. Pay attention to the resistances of her minions; most of them heal with fire but are easy deaths with water and air. Fossil and oil will ignite and heal them. Don't hesitate to teleport the knight if he gets close.

Sparkmaster is rough, but I'm surprised you had trouble with Evelyn, I found her to be one of the easiest bosses.

That said, once you finish the first "act" and move to the next area bosses tend to be pretty easy and die in 1-2 turns if you know what you're doing.

Mangoth may take three turns; depends on you initiative and RNG.

If a fight seems difficult, moving forward is usually the wrong thing to do.

Consider these 2 options:

1) You move forward spending your AP and end your turn beside the bad guy. The bad guy starts his turn with full AP and no need to move.

2) You move back a little, save your AP and end your turn. The bad guy then spends his AP to get close to you, then ends his turn. You start your turn beside him with lots of AP and no need to move.

It is very important to control how your oponent moves via:
- controlling how far you are from him on the start of his turn
- breaking his line of sight forcing him to move
- area denial -- limiting his options for movement with fire/poison surfaces and clouds. It's not always best to cast them on top of the enemy. If they start their turn inside it, they will cross it in a straight line towards you. If on the other hand you place it in front of them, they will spend lots of AP to walk around it
