Best companions
Who are the best companions story-wise, and why did you chose those ?

I downloaded a 6-man party to have them all, but it seems out of place and makes the game too easy (even with the moderate difficulty raise), so I'll revert back to 4-man party.
I don't like skipping some of the story but I don't have a choice if I want a story (hate games that are too easy).

Anyway, who and why ? (I play as a DW Str/int, and a fire/earth wizard)

Jahan is pretty nice mage and crafter/blacksmith, his spells include regeneration which is pretty useful at the beginning. Bairdotr can be good too if you are patient, bcus she's rly weak and have no gear when she joins you. Madora is 'so-so' her mobility is lacking and she's easily stunned or debuffed, so you need a lot of willpower and bodybuilding for her. Wolgraff is just a rogue, don't use him, unless you want to pickpocket some NPC for easy gold early game

I disagree, I think Madora is by far the most powerful companion because she starts with Comeback Kid and has the fewest wasted points.

Alright, thanks guys, what about story-wise ? who has the most interesting questline ?
(also, I switched the fire/earth wizzard for a cleric-tank MaA/hydrosophist)

I can think of Bairdotr and maybe Madora. The former has a little twist and the latter has pretty nice quest-line boss, whom you'll probably want to kill on-sight. Story-wise your companion has little-to-no story importance, just some lines

I think bairdottir quest is the most boring one; don´t like her at all, and your character can be a better archer than her
rogues are the weakest class in the game, because they were op in the classic version they got a massiv nerf for the enchanced edition; wolgraffs story is fine, but a bit boring, but the character is build to be the weakest class overall and has quite some wasted skill points
jahan has an interesting story and his quest is personally my most favourite one; as a water/air mage he is quite powerful and can do a lot of stuff if developed properly
madora is really strong, because she has leadership and comeback kid and therefore not only survives better, but gives a huge buff to your party without aquiring much work
her quest is quite simple and not very deep, but as a character she is very entertaining and amusing, and I like her accent;
melee classes are much weaker in divinity though, compared to the range classes of archer and mage; madora starts very strong, but gets weaker the farther the game progresses

Beardotir and Jahan are the best Imo.
Jahan is a heal hoe and his story is interesting. Also he is tough for a mage.
Beardotir is a choise due to practical reasons. Archers are boring for me, so I never create one, instead grabing Beardotir, who is fairly bad at begining, but give her some time and she is good.
Wolgraff is too squishy. Madora is fairly good, but since I play mages too much, she is nothing but a target that I need to avoid hitting. Gets in a way too much.

I'll go for Jahan and Bairdotr, I guess. I can't really stand Madora. BTW What's best for my melee DW ? Str/Int/Spd or Str/Dex/Spd ?

Dex/Spd for DW and if its DW-mage then Int/Spd

Whether you prioritize dex or str depends entirely on what stat your weapons/spells require.
