Contradiction crash on Mac OS

I would really like to play Contradiction on my Mac laptop, but every time I boot it up it crashes after about a minute or two, I have tried multiple things but it keeps happening. I see this is a request on the Contradiction forums with no solution as of yet.

I really want to share this game with someone I'm considering a long term relationship with, because I have quoted her some of my favorite lines of dialogue from the game and she is eager to see the famous lines I keep using on dates. I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

Same problem. Tried switching betas as well as re-installing, but haven't found a solution as of yet.

Having the same crashing problem. Cool game but unplayable as even if I get lucky and it works for 30 min or so, it crashes without saving and I have to start over. Fix this

Agreed, this game looks awesome and has been recommended it to me but it just refuses to stay open for longer than 10 seconds. I’m kinda disappointed bc I was really looking forward to playing it

I have had the same thing, played for over an hour and it crashed - then when I try to get back in it wouldn't go past the prologue. Good thing I had a Windows PC, cause I started getting hooked in the game and was bummed if I was going to have to ask for a refund.

It runs OK on Windows, and I am able to save my progress along the way. I still would prefer to play on my Mac machines (they are faster) - so hopefully the developer can explain what we can do to solve the issue. I run Monterey on the Mac Laptop (Intel based) and Ventura on my Mac Studio (M1).

same issue here, i've been able to play twice for about an hour, then it just keeps crashing. on store page, devs say no more support for mac version, and will probably remove at some point. real shame

Same problem; looks like it's a nwjs crash but I don't actually know what that means.

The game crashes at the launch on my laptop. And the devs seem not to give a rap about it. Such a waste.

For anyone else running into this, remember that steam will give you a no-questions-asked refund for technical problems. You may have to look up instructions on how to do it if you haven't requested a refund before, but it's an easy process.

it still crashes, unfortunately I think I'll have to go for a refund. I really wanted to play this.

I'm having the same issue. It's a bummer too since I was really excited to play. I wanna be able to play it but may need to give up and ask for a refund
