Long loading time?

I just downloaded the game and went to start it but I can't get past the Loading screen with the water sound in the background. I do have an older computer but it meets the specs to play this and what's odd is I also have "The infectious madness of Dr. Dekker" and that has given me zero problems. Help?

I had the same problem and it was caused by RTSS (from Afterburner install). Adding in to RivaTuner and setting Application detection level to None or just closing RTSS fixed it for me.
