This game is a pretty terrible HOG. Mainly due to tacky graphics, poor voice overs and some non responsive lags. I have to end up using the solve button for puzzles as they offer no hint buttons. I am a avid HOG player and this one is a big miss in my book.

I'm not mad. I'm just disappointed.

I almost feel bad for the developers as well, but then I remember they got people's money for this and I feel a little less bad about it. Really, nobody came out of this thing particularly well.

This isn't a hidden object game as you might conventionally know it. Sure, there's lots of static screens containing a smattering of objects here and there, but rather than going into lovingly rendered scenes adorned with a dizzying array of items to gawp at, it's more about picking up random bits and pieces strewn around the world then finding something to use it on.

Half the time that "something" will end up being a puzzle, but these are some of the weakest points in the game as so many of them give either little or no direction on how to solve, or else they do try to explain it to the player but the guidance is so bewildering that it becomes a puzzle in itself to decipher. I hate memory puzzles, or ones where several objects need to be aligned in a certain way, but moving one causes others to simultaneously rearrange themselves also. The story and voice acting are about as good (bad) as you'd pretty much expect from these games at this point. Although, this is made much worse by the fact that the story goes nowhere, ends abruptly with a set-up for a sequel, and is essentially an incredibly drawn-out, first act introduction with no actual pay-off or consequence. Artwork is a little subpar as well. It's fine and passable and all, but just really nothing special or the least bit memorable.

I've played worse games, for sure, and this isn't without it's occasional, fleeting moments of enjoyment, but faint praise really isn't enough to make this worthwhile compared to so many better alternatives.

Red Crow Mysteries is a key finding simulator disguised as a strange hidden object/point ‘n’ click game. It is also a secret weapon to bore the players to death with its dullness.

Red Crow Mysteries: Legion is an irregular hidden object game with a large focus on casual point ‘n’ click mechanics. It is also, almost objectively, boring as hell, because we spend almost the entire game looking for an endless stream of same-looking keys. These keys then unlock either some barely-described objects or the occasional weird puzzle minigame—all of which reward us with, what else, even more keys.

In theory, there is a story; in practise, it is more of a set of drab monologues about a young woman, who one evening awakens to the revelation that she has some mystical powers and has to stop something called Legion.
This is the entire plot, by the way, not the premise: the ending, where she prepares for the fight, is likely some sequel bait, but the series thankfully died here, before polluting the HOG scene even more.

to be honest despite all the negative stuff i have listed i kinda enjoyed the game as it is very simple and straight forward. compared to the other "HOG" i have played yesterday this was a blast xD

i still do not recommend it as sometimes you will get stuck not knowing what to do and all those bugs. so maybe only get it on sale if you are really looking for a light HOG.

Game is worth it when on special. Requires 2 play throughs to get all in game achivements. More adventure than hidden object. Overall - Good fun.

It's a pretty decent HOG but it is surprisingly light on the HOG side. More find specific objects to move on to solve puzzles in the world. My only complaint is it's a bit short, and left me hanging on for a sequel.

Do you like a challenge? I mean a real challenge because there's no map, dated graphics and blurry hidden object scenes? I both love and hate this game, let me tell you why. It has the feel of a game from the 1980s where you weren't given much direction and could grind to a halt abruptly because you didn't understand the game's logic.

Here the logic is... well, it ain't easy figuring out what items to combine at times Resident Evil style to craft a new item, because some of the tasks are wonky anyhow. Or objects go where they have no reason to or aren't shaped to. My favorite though has to be the hidden object room where you have to spot the blurry objects. It wouldn't be so bad, but the same room also includes mini tasks. The objects are wherever the hit box for the mini task is not.

I got it on sale for fifty cents and while it at least actually ran compared to a lot of the broken hidden object titles on Steam, I can't say I believe it's worth seven dollars USD either. The hint button is slow even on casual and useless on the hidden object scenes unless you happen to be staring at the blurry object you need. No map, no really helpful direction of what to do. A lot more reading goes on than spoken dialogue, I have no idea why.

And as for Legion himself? I actually laughed when I realized he was the bad guy. He's just not scary. I won't spoil things, but I actually giggled at several points. There is no final battle, btw, no one is lying to you, in fact the ending is so anticlimactic, you needn't have bothered doing everything you did.

Probably the least interesting of Cateia's array of puzzle games so far. I don't really have much to say about this, it was just very bland. There was hardly any story or conversation to keep your interest in it while you did the puzzles and object hunting.

After playing 3 other games from Cateia, it's beginning to be apparent for me that there isn't much puzzle variety in their games. There are maybe a handful of puzzles unique to this game (so far) but I found most of them really frustrating to deal with. Again, there is a large number of 'arrange the broken pieces', this one more guilty of it than The Strix.

It's a very short game. From what little story there is, I'm guessing this is but a premise of an even bigger plot. The graphics and puzzles don't really make the asking price worth it. The Strix was more enjoyable and it was cheaper. While it's not a broken game, I feel like I don't really recommend it either, I'm sorry. There's no real sense of fulfillment playing this game at all.

Mechanics and VO are ok I guess, but it's really short and the story isn't complete.
