Strange observations about title acquisition
After doing one playthrough and starting another, I've noticed a few of the titles act kinda weird. They'll trigger even if you don't meet the requirements. Most people know about the glitch where successfully completing the Palmacosta Orienteering minigame will tell you that you got Colette's Dog Lover title while it actually gives you the correct Palmacosta Pro title for Lloyd, but I've noticed a number of titles I shouldn't have actually gotten that I did get.

For example, I intentionally answered all of the Palmacosta Academy questions incorrectly and still got Genis's Honor Roll title.

I didn't realize that to have 'gigolo'd' a town with Zelos he had to talk to every woman in a single visit, and according to the Symphonia Save Viewer I failed to gigolo like 7 towns (I also thought all I had to do was hit on one woman per town) and I still got Gigolo at the end of the game. On the GameCube version there was a glitch where you could get the title if you had rescued all the party members in Welgaia but had NOT gotten the Derris Emblem but in this case I went back to talk to his butler after opening the final door in Vinhelm to get it.

While not directly a title per se, according to every guide I read there was a small, VERY small window to do the sidequest with Aifread the pirate to get the Spiritua Ring. Afterwards, all the GameFAQs guides said I had to sell that ring to Koton in order to be able to later buy the Golden Armor from him (necessary for Zelos's Gilgamesh title). I didn't even know you could sell the ring, but at the end of the game I went back to Koton and he sold me the armor anyways.

So it appears that some of these things either had an incorrectly assumed trigger (like maybe the Golden Armor is just always available to purchase as the end of the game) or they changed it in the PS3/PC version.
