So... Tales of the Abyss when?
Seriously, that's the one Tales game I absolutely want to come to steam. ^^

I doubt it will, It wasn't redone in HD like symphonia 1 and 2 which I assume is the reason why its being ported, as well as being the most liked tales game. I think we'd see a port of symphonia 2 before a port of tales of the abyss.

Good chance of both.

Probably as a pre-order bonus for Zestiria.

The more sales Tales of games get, the more reasons ($$$) Bandai Namco have for putting time into ports, or hiring other companies to do the ports. If the PC games don't sell well, or if people don't keep asking them for the ports, they will probably do nothing and continue focusing on newer titles.

Would be easier to port Tales of Vesperia, and better business sense, since ToV is available on fewer platforms in the West.

How would it be easier to port Tales of Vesperia? The Xbox 360 was a PowerPC not x86-64 machine and the PS3 has a CPU akin to Frankenstein's monster. I know more goes into a port than just CPU architecture of course, but I'm not seeing how it would be an easier port.

I would however guess Tales of Vesperia is more likely since it's easier to market a newer-looking game probably. That said, the bonus content would require localization most likely so it would probably be more akin to Tales of Symphonia Chronicles.

The ease of porting Vesperia has nothing to do with the Xbox2 or the PS3. It has to do with Tales of the Abyss being a PS2 game, and PS2 games being notoriously troublesome to port to other platforms. PS3 and Xbox2 games are much easier to port.
Just remember not all Tales(Mostly Newer ones) will come to PC as they will still have a strong Contract Exclusive only with Playstation.

Uh... I have no idea what you're trying to say. Tales Of hasn't had an exclusivity deal since Vesperia, and all of the newer Tales Of games have been ported to PC.

TotA is one of the best Tales games. i hope it comes to steam soon, too. the new tales games suck because they are only focusing on the battle system but not on cool dungeons with nice riddles or quests etc.

Don't forget it was already ported off of the PS2 onto the 3DS.
