Soo quick questions
Since the sale is only an hour left and I just found this, have they done anything to this version that is considered worse than what I played years ago? I think we had it on the gamecube.

GameCube is the only version that runs 60 FPS. Ever since the game was ported to PS2, the following versions have been 30 FPS. PS2 did add additional content (costumes, artes and the casino). After that the game was ported to PS3 with widescreen support and new camera angles in some cutscenes to accommodate that.

This port is based on PS3, so any bugs or changes made in that version are also present here. Like the Remiel's infamous missing dialog box due to a localization oversight.

The newer Remastered version for current gen consoles is about the same as PS3 version, but has the following changes:
  • Related Abilities has been restored for localized version. Arte tree to keep track of learned S/T artes. (previously unavailable in GC/PS3 versions in the US/EU).
  • Figurine descriptions has been restored for localized version (previously unavailable in GC/PS3 versions in the US/EU).
  • New localizations for Russian, Chinese and Korean.
  • Upscaled textures created using Topaz Labs' Gigapixel and DeNoise AIs.
  • Character portraits change on story conditions (Presea and Colette).
  • Cutscene skip for animated/cg cutscenes.
  • Skits can be paused.
  • Chasing enemies (on map) display an eye above them.
  • Displaying shop names before entering the next area.
  • New controls for Elemental Cargo (the ship used in Tethe'alla).
  • Switching between Tethe'alla and Sylvarant has been changed. (It always asks if you want to enter the base, which you need to cancel first if you want to teleport)
  • Switch's Remastered version might be buggy. Not sure if all issues have been fixed.

So in the end. If 60 FPS matters to you, stick to GC version. If you want additional content, consider getting either this or Remastered version. If you're going to collect all the figurines and enjoy reading their descriptions, then get the Remastered version (except the Switch one).

gamecube version is the only that runs at 60fps, every other version is based on the ps2 port which also added content but runs at 30fps. as far the 30fps versions of the game goes the steam version is the better one as they did patch a lot of the issues and even restored the outlines. basically if you remember he gamecube version, this steam version has more sidequests and aditional cutscenes but its combat wont feel as smooth
