Best way to train before rescuing colette
Hi. I have been defeated. Yeah, this is... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy. I played this game before but I didn't remember it could be so hard. Now I need your help, I will explain.

I am in Rodyle's floating island. And I can't defeat his dragons. It's just impossible, I am defeated in two strikes. So I want to train. But whenever I try to enter some place, I get an alert (I need to rescue Colette) and I can't go into the training place. So, I have a problem.

Do you know some good way to train in my situation, or to get a lot of money and get better equipment? Thank you in advance.

You could always train on the world map if its not letting you go to other dungeons. The best equipment at that point in the game should be purchasable from Altamira.

Thank you. This is gonna be... hard. I thought the strongest monsters would be in Flanoir, but I hardly can beat a worm in ten minutes... I can't guess how could I get to this point with so low level... So I can't train there either...

What Level is your party and who are you playing as?

The Sliver enemy(that worm) is a rare monster and is pretty much a refightable miniboss. There's a rare encounter near Altamira as well, but I'm not sure how it compares. Just stay away from those parts of the map until you're better prepared for them, but there's encounters in both areas that are doable.

I was overleveled when I went to hunt down the rare monsters for the monster book on PS3, so I'm not sure when it becomes easy to defeat them, but if you're at a normal level at those points, they'll destroy your party.

My party is about 32 level or so and my main character is lloyd. I am pretty good at evading and I use a lot of items and I think those are the reasons why I got this far. I have beaten the silver worm miniboss but it took me a lot of time, that was the first enemy I found. My luck T.T

I am trying to remember how to get concentrate and glory but I am sure I needed some level 4 ex gem and I have only one (yuan) so the high level abilities are not a choice...

Your best bet is training on the world map.

Yeah, well... it's my only possible bet, I guess... I can't enter in any dungeon XD. I just found some pigs near the ymir forest, in the world map. They are rare but they give me 800 exp for combat so now I am at 37 level.

Any better map combat to gain exp?

37 should be plenty high to get through that fight. Personally, I wound up at level 40 after the Yuan and Botta fight. If I unlock Rising Falcon for Lloyd in the nest fight, I know my leveling is pretty much on track.

You could always go back to Volt's Temple and get your grind on there. The enemies are pretty easy to kill and give decent enough exp.

I can't enter the temple. I can't enter any dungeon. I am at 40 level and I am being defeated in three hits against the dragons...

I did have a hard time at level 40 at first.
I made a mistake with my weapons (dragon's sword with Lloyd), so after getting my ass handed to me, I corrected my mistake.

After that, when I managed to not get hit first by the two little dragons, it was a matter of luck and timing. And then everything went pretty well.

Level and Equipment matter. Get better armor and weapons.

What exactly is preventing you from entering the temple? Do you get a scene that forces you to go back to the world map or is it a glitch?

Also, you should probably take a look at your party comp. Do you use Raine? Does she have her party heals? Raine is pretty much indispensible for a good portion of the game. You're not going to get a healer that's on her level ever. Have you hit up Altamira? With all the grinding you've been doing, you should have plenty of cash lying around to buy the best available weapons and armor, as well as stock up on consumables. Altamira sells Miracle Gels and they might as well be Elixirs for how amazing a consumable they are.

As for the fight Don't stand near the center of the platform. Nest Crack, in my experience, almost always hits there. Adjust your party's AI to have at least one person engaging the smaller dragons at all times and take them out first. Don't be afraid to use Unison Attacks on one of the smaller dragons to skip a nest crack. With good equipment and levels, you should have the smaller dragons down within 2-3 Nest Cracks and then it's just a matter of focusing on the boss.

Thank you guys, there are some really good advices here. I finally did it. I was at 42 level and it was... a nightmare. My party was Lloyd, Rayne, Presea and Zelos. I got the best possible armor at Altamira and that black... something... that rises hp in 30 percent, from Flanoir. And in spite of this, it was a nightmare.

I went through the game relatively easy until this combat. I really think there is some problem with me, I am not that bad player but I was unable to adapt myself to the special conditions in this battle. Maybe I developed bad habits after playing Tales of Zestiria (too easy, a lot of times I didn't need to look at the screen when fighting).

I... had to... lower the difficulty...

T.T

In response to Viceriem, I can't go into any dungeon because an scene is triggered. As I said earlier, the plot doesn't let me lose more time ("I can't lose more time, we must rescue Colette" or something like that)
