Sidequest cutoff points
Hi, I'm going to start playing ToS pretty soon and I'm wondering if anyone has a resource that points out sidequest cutoff points so I don't accidentally miss any of them.

I've found a few guides, but they're super in depth and I'm looking for more of a checklist with a "DO THIS SIDEQUEST NOW" type thing. Thanks!

The red entries in this list[www.playstationtrophies.org] are missable.

Also, you need to beat the game four times and play into the fifth to get everything, so don't sweat too much about missables.

The problem with that list is it only covers sidequests tied to titles. Other ones off the top of my head:

Spiritua Statue: If you don't give this to Koton before visiting the Tower of Salvation, you can't get the Golden Armor at the end of the game.
Fake Chosen's Group: The first three events at Asgard, Balacruf Mausoleum, and a partially-rebuilt Luin can only be done on "Disc 1" (before beating the Iselia Human Ranch). The fourth one at Asgard can be done at any time on "Disc 2".
Secret Notebook: Don't know the availability of this one, but I'm pretty positive it's not available for very long. Visit the Mizuho shopkeeper before visiting Toize Valley Mine just to play it safe.
Assassin Ring: The first two events at Hima and Fooji Mountains must be done on "Disc 1". Don't know if the third event has a cutoff point, but I would make sure to view it before going to Welgaia.
Sylvarant Seals: Not a sidequest, but the best places to get Black Silver and White Silver are in Balacruf Mausoleum and Tower of Mana respectively. These locations become unavailable on "Disc 2", so if you want these trading goods for later crafting, steal a bunch during "Disc 1".
Virginia's Dairy: IIRC, you have to do this one before visiting Derris Kharlan for the first time at the end of the game.
Presea learns about Exspheres: Don't know the cutoff point for this one, but I imagine you have to do it before visiting Welgaia.

And, of course, there are the dogs to name, recipes to obtain, and women to hit on in Palmacosta and Ozette before those places are destroyed. Heimdall also has a missable recipe in the elder's house, and the stores become unavailable once you make the pact with Origin.

You can also miss out on Orienteering in Palmacosta even before it gets destroyed. I haven't traveled to the Tower of Salvation yet, and it's not available.

It becomes available again after the Otherworldly Gate. It doesn't become completely unavailable until Palmacosta is destroyed.
