Tales of Symphonia Remaster
Tales of Symphonia Remaster recently announced on the Nintendo Direct, any chance they are updating the PC port or porting it to PC?

They should, this port was terrible.

According to the Tales twitter, it's coming to Switch, PS4 and Xbox One. PC wasn't mentioned anywhere.

Would be surprised if they do.

It will be released on Switch, Xbox One and PS4 :

Then again, Bamco renamed the pc version as "Remastered" on their store :

(European one)

I wouldn't be surprised if it's a lazy port of the Steam version actually ...

Guess we'll be forever cursed by the PS3 version.

Just look at that screenshot :

Judging from the footage shown. Seems to be more or less the same as PS3 version. Some textures are touched up and their colors are now more darker shade, but the game still seems to run 30 FPS.

Some weird oddities I found in the trailer:
- The teleport in Martel's Temple is missing its "light" effect (or maybe it's because the darker colour palette making it fade out altogether).
- Presea's eyes are in "awakened state" in Meltokio's sewers (her eyes should be in the "zombie state" until she gets her key crest). Colette is missing her Cruxis Crystal in this scene as well.

Since next year is TOS's 20th anniversary, I was hoping for:
- At least 60 FPS
- Remastered textures in 4K (well, they're trying their best, I suppose)
- Fixed typos and weird things with the dialogue (hopefully all these are fixed)
- English VA for skits

Doubt, but looking at the trailer it didnt look too different to what we have here. And we have fan patches too.

I literally just re-bought this on Steam a few weeks ago. FML lol. If the remaster comes to Steam later then /cry

Are they gonna remove this version on Steam?

Hopefully this one runs at 60fps consistently for once.
Kinda tired of getting the same scuffed version over and over again.

Nintendo only licensed the game. Your ire should be directed at Bamco, who screwed up the port this "Remaster" is based upon, and who seem to hate Tales fans in general.

I wish we knew what the hell's going on at Bandai Namco Studios. On one hand, the fact that they announced Tekken 8 for a Steam release is indicative that they haven't given up on PC gaming yet (which is surprising considering the multiple flops they released on PC this year).

On the other hand, I'm also reminded that this is the same studio that decided that we don't deserve to have Gundam Extreme VS MAXI BOOST ON due to our complaining about Ace Combat 7.
