Presea cannot learn Fiery Infliction?

Hello everyone !

My Presea is now over LVL 48 and has used the required attacks over 50 times to get Fiery Infliction. It appears blue in the skill list, but after dozens of fights using both skills Fiery Destruction and Resolute Infliction, she never learns the new skill.

I also tried to let her use all skills over 50 times (other than the protective one, Earthly Protection) and turned all skills on in Auto mode, it does not work. I have not tried yet to play her in manual mode, but it has never blocked any other skill to be learned for all characters to play them in Auto Mode.

Can anyone help me? Could any reason exist for this issue?

A few reasons would be using all attacks in that group 50 times, the attack type you are and/or just bad luck. For a few moves you can trigger them by controlling the characters and attacking high, low, or straight as well (like a lot of Regal's moves make you do that). Honestly though I personally don't think I got her to get that until I used the move 200 times but in my case it could have been because I didn't bother making her my main

It could be bad luck, but I have a few guesses.

Is Presea's S-Type bar full? If she's moving towards T-Type, it might be looking for 50 uses on Dual Infliction and Deadly Destruction instead. Try to fix it by moving her back towards S-Type (with her EX Skills).

You could try this if you haven't already:

Try switching Presea to T-Type, forgetting Fiery Destruction and Resolute Infliction, which will force her to learn Dual Infliction and Deadly Destruction instead. Use those moves 50 time and see if that works.

Bad luck roll is my first guess after reading your post. Keep resting at inns (or you can stay at Colette's for free) until you get a higher luck roll and then have Presea wear some luck-boosting equipment if you have any.

I didn't know the fact that luck changes with resting. I will pay more attention the next times!

Indeed, I had a very bad luck with her (3), and changed it to 69. It didn't work at first, but eventuallw she learned the skill (as well as the next one) only when she didn't have enough MP to use her skills. She was with the strat "skills/magic" (or equivalent name, I play in French language), maybe it had an impact.
