Best gem setup for Lloyd and Regal?

Regal - Vitality(lvl2) / Guard Plus (lvl3) / Guilt (lvl4) / Flash (lvl4) you will get Grace which is imo best for him

Lloyd has nothing that special but Personal (lvl2) is a must for him unless you like to move slow and admire the scenery, I also have Add Combo (lvl3) / Follow-up (lvl4) and Ability Plus (lvl4).

If you equip the ex gems in certain combination, you can trigger compound ex skill. Here are the list

If you're using the characters and not keeping them in backup, I think vitality (lvl2) and eternal (lvl3) are a must have as early as you can get. The extra health in the long run trumps any other skills.

I also use spirit up for Genis and Raine.

One of the best for Lloyd is Sky Combo + Ability Plus, which lets you do certain moves like Rising Falcon in midair. Super useful for dodging and escaping stuff on higher difficulty levels and also lets you do a really cool looking combos with Sword Rain: Alpha and Omega Tempest. Other than that, Dash is really good, especially if you combine it with Tough to get Quick Turn. If I don't need Quick Turn, I usually just swap out Tough for Add Combo.

For Regal I'd say his best setup is to just give him the compound skill Glory, which makes it so he doesn't stagger. Lets you really wail on stuff without caring especially if you know how to spell cancel.
