Why is the amulet of strangulation killing my true skeleton?

I don't even have a larynx for my lungs to get choked or lungs or the need for air in the first place.

Found a blessed amulet of strangulation +2 so i figured i might try it on for the lols and probably get a small boost or something by putting it on since its blessed and the negative effect wont work on me since i play as a true skeleton, but boy oh boy was i wrong.

Yeah i know silly but it was pretty early on so i didn't lose much of progress. Still it makes me wonder how can even a amulet of strangulation even be considered blessed in the first place?

Or even a bear trap for that matter?

Then it would have been a amulet of crushing and the humans putting it on would have died sooner.

Yeah but it only states that it strangle and chokes.
Besides the amulet breakes if you have enough health points to withstand it long enough which means that it is not that strong.
