locomotives
I'm a bit confused about locomotives ingame... one that cost's 2000 can haul more stuff than a loc which costs 10 000.

Had to downgrade a loc after spending over 10k for a new one. Why should i buy a new one after that? They seem to just get a bigger tender and a lot of more weight.

Am i doing something wrong or....?

Hi Juusot, can you send us a screenshot or even better 2 - one with old locomotive and one with new locomotive?
We have tested different locomotives at same weight (same quantity of carriages) and result was increasing of speed. Of course some of locomotives more powerful and rather slow, some very fast but can carry less weight, but loc for a 2000 shouldn't be better than loc for a 10 000.

ok. What i really meant is that the problem is the range. I bought a new loc and getting reduced range compared to cheaper one. General 4-4-0 cannot travel from Pittsburgh to Detroit and John Bull 4-2-0 is able to do it. Tried with same cargo and same quantity of carriages too. I know that General weights much more but shouldn't it be able to make this journey?

I have screenshots but I don't really know how to send those to you...

My understanding is that it's kind of the point of making the stats different. If you want a fast train then you can't carry as many carriages. They should all be able to make the distance if you adjust the carriages and weight properly.

Yes, you are right Mantis Toboggan - that what we did with trains stats.
As for map, we agree with you, Juusot. For next update we have planned some adjustments of trains movement at map, so we will improve General. At first I thought about train movement at battle levels. Sorry for misunderstanding.
