Bricks?
So I just turned back to this game after a bit to mess with the dlc, which I'd never completed. I noticed the new commodity, bricks, does not show up on the market window so I came here to see if anybody had said anything about this and noticed it on the Known Issues thread from a year and a half ago.

So I am guessing the devs just forgot about this game or something?

Bricks must be available in the 2nd chapter. I'm not sure, but I think they must not be available from the very beginning.

Yes you are correct, but that isn't the problem. The problem is that when they *do* show up, they don't appear on the commodities list that keeps track of prices in the various cities.

The bug where the train brake just... stops working in chapter two is also still present.

Ohh..then you need to find cities, which produce bricks. Later, as the game progress, brick should be available in many cities.

No. That's still not what I mean. I am not asking "How buy brick?" I am reporting that a noted bug still persists in the game a year and a half later.

Here, walk through this with me:

When you go to a town market - there is a window on the right hand side. It tells you how much resources were worth in other cities last time you were there (or how much they are worth right now if you have a newspaper subscription for that town).

Bricks are not on that list. At all. Ever. It doesn't matter if you just left Buffalo and saw they had bricks there. It doesn't matter if you are standing in New York, staring directly at a pile of bricks on sale in front of you, then look at New York on the right hand side. I don't mean that the price is not listed - I mean that a place where bricks might be *does not even exist* on this list. You can buy them. You can sell them. But they do not show up on the list of resources in other cities, like every other resource does.

This is a bug. That's not even me assuming design intent - it was listed as a known bug by the devs over a year and a half ago, and has not been touched. I only started the DLC today (and found the pinned thread where they mentioned this) and was poking my head in to see if there had been any progress.

Oh. Now I get you. Though I played DLC, maybe two, and haven't encountered this one.

I have the same problem, if i go to the market in a town, i can sell and buy the bricks, but the market overview dont list this item.
I played the campaign not complete, this can be perhaps the reason from the bug?
(I play in freemode)

I tried logging on and off several times and it seems to have sorted itself out? Both the brakes and the bricks issue resolved after several quit to desktop/loads.

Then I logged in again and it was broken again.

This is very strange.

All right I figured out how to make the stupid game work. When you first turn on the game, do not load your game. Select "Begin DLC" Pick a file. It doesn't matter which one. Once that has loaded, then load your actual save file. Bricks and train controls now *should* work normally.
