Questions about skills
Hey guys, I have a few questions about how the skills in the game work, different character builds, etc. The guides and wiki for this game are a little light, so lets cast a net to the community!

1) Is it worth having more than one person on your crew with the Trader skill for additive bonuses, or are does it work in such a way that you are better off with just one person with that skill?

2) Same question, engineer, does having multiple engineers stack damage reduction on your train, or is it a one and done deal?

3) It seems to me with a crew of four, and my main guy who always uses pistols, I should have each person able to use one kind of ranged weapon, and ideally turret handling skill as well. What other skills should my guys have to supplement this?

4) Main character, always going to use pistols, so those honed bullet perks are going to have good synergy with pistols, as well as increasing intellect and agility - what other skills are good for your main guy? Is it worth taking survivor to keep him alive?

5) In general, anything else useful to know about character building and team composition.

Cheers :)

1) No. Works only skill with the highest level.
3) Well. It will be enough one character with turret skill. All the characters should have pistol or rifle skill. Usually my characters have 1.Pistol or rifle skill. 2. Fist skill (reduces damage taken and increases HP, also gives HP regen at higher levels). 3. Some other useful skill: Trading, Repairing, Healing, Turret skill, Firefighting.
5) Right now, when the amount of skills are limited to 3, I think that there are a lot of skills much more useful than melee combat skill. Train driver skill is not the most needed skill also.

1) No.

2) Probably not (not sure, but expecting no stacking as with Trader skill).

3) For combat good setup is 2 snipers (one with rifle, second with repeating rifle) and 3 with revolvers. Turret skill is overrated. On normal I've thought it's a must. On hard I had it but didn't use it (I had Combat Nun with this skill - she was far better as a sniper). In short - with good team you don't give a f* on turret reload time. Sometimes it's even easier to go to next, full Gatling than to reload.

Other useful are: skill for avoiding damage due too high speed in turns, fire extinguishing and skill for trading. Repairing and healing looks nice but are semi-useless in practice.

4) Main character should drink every agility and strength potion possible. You will quickly turn him into ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Robocop (stats over 40 in ~2 years), with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of HP (400-500 or even higher), max throwing range with every explosive, etc. Just don't invest skill points in those stats, leave them for intelligence.

5) Focus on fighting efficiency. Hire best guards available (and fire low level guards), buy best weapons possible, stockpile explosives and medicines, buy every skill potion available.
