Colt Agent sidequest

Devs may want to change this one a bit - If you go to Robert E. Lee and show him Colt's fancy new gun, but don't have at least 10 reputation with the Confederate States, he'll take the bloody thing and then tell you to go back to Colt and have him send someone "loyal to our cause". Of course your quest doesn't change, except that now you need to find another one of those mega-powerful revolvers - If that's even possible!

Edit: At least I think he did.. 80% sure. I'm a bit sleep deprived and I DID shop for a new revolver for Walter afterwards, but I'm still pretty sure I equipped the one I bought (after duly admiring the stats of the Colt 1847), not the quest pistol.

First time i went to Lee I didn't have any rep with them and he told me to go away and tell him to send someone loyal, built up some rep and was able to interact with him without issue. Are you sure you've not sold the quest pistol by accident?

I'm 80% sure I didn't sell the quest pistol. I MAY have equipped it though.. I went back on that save so I can't check now and since then completed the sidequest without issue. As said, I was a bit sleep-deprived at the time so I'm not putting it past myself to have made a stupid mistake of some sort.
